Courses
My first semester at FIU, I took satisfied the Global Learning graduation requirement. I didn't do it on purpose; it just so happened that the classes I was interested in taking also happened to be GL courses. My second semester, I was away from campus on a Congressional Internship, but when I had to register for classes, I again noticed two of them were GL courses. The Medallion of Excellence in Global Learning had not yet been announced, so I didn't chose those classes looking to satisfy that requirement; I chose them because I was interested in them. I am so glad I did! Out of all my GL courses, my two favorite were World Ethnographies and Economic Geography. Click below to learn why!
